RETROREMAKES PS1 PLAYER v0.1.0 — PRIVATE TEST BUILD

This is a separate player for games already built by PS1 Remaker.
It does not build or recompile games, and it does not pause or edit the batch queue.

START
1. Extract the whole ZIP. Double-click Start-Player.cmd.
   Requires Python 3.11+ with Tkinter, as used by the private studio.
2. Choose game folder: select a completed output folder containing game.toml
   and build-release. Or Choose application and select the game's .exe.
   Scan output folder imports multiple completed games.
3. Select the game, then use the buttons across the top:
   F1 Interface, F2 Display, F8 Controllers, F9 Diagnostics, F5 Cheat status,
   and Renderer. The remaster batch queue belongs to the private studio.
4. Choose this game's dedicated save folder. Existing studio save locations
   are reused when the matching recorded queue entry is available.
5. Click Play. Other games may keep building in the studio. Do not launch
   the specific game being rebuilt; the player rejects known active entries.
6. On Windows, the player attempts to host the game below its toolbar.
   Fullscreen fills the monitor while keeping that toolbar visible.
   If hosting fails, enable Separate game window, close the game, and replay.
7. Close / Stop the game before saving display, controller, or renderer changes.
   Then Play again. No recompilation is needed for these settings.
8. Optional: Create player in game folder copies this small player beside the
   existing output and creates Start-Game.cmd for that game. It does not copy
   disc images or the private studio. Keep all existing output/runtime files.

DISPLAY
1080p 16:9, 1440p 16:9, 1440p 21:9, and 4K presets; fullscreen/window modes;
standard refresh choices; VSync; texture filtering; sharpening, saturation,
contrast and bloom. Fill Screen stretches the active image to the game area.
In hosted mode, use the PLAYER's Fullscreen button. The native child window
opens windowed to fit under the toolbar. For exclusive refresh changes use
Separate game window mode, since Windows owns the hosted child presentation.
The launcher synchronizes saved options with v0.15 native preferences, so old
native sidecars cannot silently override your new display/controller choices.
Older renderer versions may require a runtime update for Fill Screen or ratios;
this wrapper cannot add missing GPU features to an old executable.

CONTROLLERS
Wired PS4 controller selection, live inputs, button/stick capture, player routing,
digital/analog pad mode and deadzone. Uses the existing shared SDL detector when
available. Setup detection can build that helper with the cached portable tools;
first setup may download those dependencies. No game rebuild is involved.
Physical PS4 and Windows hosting still require testing on your PC.

GAME FILES / PRIVACY
No PS1 games, BIN/CUE, BIOS, or extracted game assets are bundled here.
The game needs your own CUE and all matching BIN tracks. If the original path
is missing, the player asks for the CUE. Disc layout and required track files
are checked; this wrapper is not a finished public installer/disc verification gate.
No publishing, telemetry, or upload is performed by this player.
Local player selections are stored under LOCALAPPDATA/RetroRemakes/PS1-Player.
Settings stay beside each game; the studio's queue file is read only.
Native runtime output is written to that project’s player-runtime.log.

LIMITATIONS
Windows child-window hosting is implemented but unverified on a physical Windows
desktop here. Separate-window mode remains available. Some native fullscreen
hotkeys may escape a hosted child: use the toolbar's Fullscreen control instead.
Toolbar shortcuts operate while the launcher has focus; use mouse buttons when
the native child holds keyboard focus. The game may retain its own native hotkeys.
F5 explicitly reports that cheat execution is not implemented. There is no ray
tracing, automatic asset remastering, or new frame generation in this wrapper.
Renderer settings control features already present in that particular runtime.
